Clean Off Your Desk Day

     It's there somewhere, buried under a pile of papers, books, dirty dishes, tools, DVD's, medicines, candy, garbage, catalogs and what ever else piles up on it. Today is clean off your desk day and maybe I should do that, or than again....... Maybe I'll just be thankful I have a nice desk to collect all this stuff.

Rubber Duckie Day

     It's Rubber Duckie Day. Time to remember Ernie from Sesame Street singing his rubber duckie song. Time to remember all those yellow rubber duckies for my brother-in-law. Time to remember those bath tub toys that were played with as a kid. Time to Thank God for all that bath time fun.

Work Harder Day

     Who's thankful for working harder? Today is Work Harder Day, a day for working harder. I know too many people who think they work or are worked too hard, who would rather not even be at work and if the opportunity arises, they're gone. While I can't say I always enjoy them, I do like a hard days work.

      Let's be thankful that we can have hard days of work, for the chance to work hard.

Milk Day

     What crawls around on all fours and goes moo, a crazy dad giving rides on his back or a cow?

      Today is milk day and while there are people who can't have milk or milk products, there is much to be thankful for when it comes to milk. Yogurt, cheese, ice cream, are just a few things beyond the cold glass full along side some fresh made cookies. Yes, I'm thankful for milk. Are you?

Peculiar People Day

     Have you ever been thankful for people who are just a little odd? Today is Peculiar People Day. I don't know that I have ever been called peculiar, but I know I have been called weird and strange and crazy and odd, etc. Of course I use to say I'm normal and everybody else is, well, you get the idea.

     I'm thankful that people are different and yes, sometimes a little peculiar. For the variety makes life enjoyable. Would you be thankful to God for such people? Or would you find that a bit peculiar?

Static Electricity Day

     It's a lot of fun. Drag your feet around on a carpet and then walk up to someone and ZAP! Static Electricity can be a lot of fun, it can smart a bit when your not ready for it and it can cause some major issues if you fail to ground yourself out before working around sensitive computer boards or flammable liquids.

     Electricity is such a valuable resource that we often take it for granted – until it's gone. Let's say thank You To God for His provision of electricity for us to use – and have fun with – ZAP!

Midwife's Day

     In the book of Exodus we are told they feared God. They were the midwives. 

     Today is Midwife's Day and I can say I am thankful for midwives, one in particular as we have used her for our last three births and what a wonderful experience it has been to have our last three children at home.

      So, I would like to say thank you for midwives and the work they do.
