When it comes to Q-tips or cotton swabs, I remember my mom always using them to clean out my ears. and now my wife does the same thing (well, not mine but hers and the kids) and once in a while, the kids will want one to do it also. Of course Q-tips have more uses than just cleaning ears like painting, and dabbing peroxide on soars, and crafts.
