Pens and Markers

      In a glass jar on my desk are a variety of colored markers and some pens. - I try not to use pencils. Most days I'm using pens at home and at work while the markers get used only once in awhile at home I use them quite often at work.

      Pens have been around for a long time, since about 4000 BC. but it wasn't until the 1880's that the ball point pen was invented and in the 1960's the roller balls and soft tips came about. My favorite pens are gel pens - the ink for these pens was invented back in 1984.

      According to Encarta Encyclopedia, making copies of the Bible is one of the things that pushed along the betterment of ink pens.
