Tonight our family will be celebrating Christmas with my side of the family. As long as I can remember, my parents always opened gifts Christmas eve, usually after having a wonderful evening meal at my grandparents house on my dad's side of the family while Christmas Day was spent with my mom's side of the family. We still try to get to my parents for Christmas eve as much as possible while getting together with my wife's family varies from a week or two before Christmas to Christmas day.
Family is a wonderful thing to have and to spend time with this time of year. I enjoy the family get together on both sides of our family and I enjoy the family I have right at home.
