In the first chapter of Genesis we read that God created light – the light the we use to see by as we walk along a path, the light we see to read by, the light that removes physical darkness. But there's more to this world than physical darkness – there is also spiritual darkness, moral darkness, emotional darkness, etc. and for that we need a a different kind of light and Jesus is that light - John 8:12 Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." (NASB)
