Savior

     Luke 2:10-11 And the angel said to them, "Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (ESV)

      Another name for Jesus that we may want to think about is that of Savior. When the Angel earlier had talked to Joseph in his dream, the angel told him that Jesus would save His people from their sins. While most of the world goes on not realizing that they need to be saved from their sins either ignorantly or purposely, we all need to be saved for we are told that the penalty for sin is death, a death that involves more than ceasing to be upon this earth, something that none of us can avoid on our own.

      In Jesus we have the salvation we need because of what He has done for us.
