For many people, this day represents
the beginning of a period of prayer and fasting called Lent that
leads up to Easter. I'm not going to focus on the ritual but I can
say this – we should be thankful that we can pray, that we can talk
directly to God and that we can fast so as to draw our selves closer
to God.
