Protection From Satan

     1 Peter 5:8 - Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. (NAS) Other than maybe Sampson, would any one be willing to take on a hungry lion with their bare hands? If I'm going to have to take on a hungry lion I would hope to have a loaded rifle in my hand.

      While a loaded rifle may help protect you against a hungry lion, it would be useless against the devil. To my knowledge, no weapon on earth could protect you from him Our protection against the devil comes from the Lord. See His promise in 2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful; He will strengthen and guard you from the evil one. (HCSB)
