The Love Of God

Seeing how Valentines day happens to fall in the month of February, and love is always associated with Valentines day, I thought I'd make love an underlying theme for many of the things this month for which we should be thankful starting with the love of God.
The love of God is greater far
Than tongue or pen could ever tell
It goes beyond the highest star
And reaches to the lowest hell

The guilty pair bowed down with care
God gave His Son to win
His erring child He reconciled
And pardoned from his sin

Could we with ink the oceans fill
And were the skies of parchment made
Were every stalk on earth a quill
And every man a scribe by trade

To write the love of God above
Would drain the oceans dry
Nor could the scroll contain the whole
Though stretched from sky to sky

Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Oh love of God so rich so pure
So measureless and strong
It shall forevermore endure

The saints and angels song
Mercy Me

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. - John 3:16 (NKJV)

      Dear Lord, Thank you
  • For Your great love for us
