Around our house there is something we tend to go through a lot of - AA Batteries. They're used in flashlights by little kids who tend to leave them on, they're used in cameras, and they're were used in the Wii remotes.
When Aaron first got his Wii, which everyone uses, we went through lots and lots of AA batteries so I decided to get rechargeable batteries for the remotes and a charger that went with it. That worked great, and my stash of batteries quit disappearing saving us money, however....
Nothing lasts forever and the kids ruined the charger and I became stingy with my batteries and the rechargeable batteries were greatly missed. - Never fear a new one was ordered and the kids can again play games.
