David, the youngest in the family at 1 1/2, loves to go around saying vacuum cleaner. We recently bought a new one as he finished off it's predecessor. The reason we need a vacuum cleaner is the carpets it cleans. The carpet in our living room area is in need of replacement - someday and in places it is patched up with duct tape.
While wood floors or linoleum or the likes may be easier to clean -especially when a dog or kid throws up - they are not as warm in my thoughts - especially in the winter. or as soft so today I'll be thankful for the carpets we have.
