Independence Day

      I think there is a riddle that kids like to ask - do other countries - other than the USA - Have a 4th of July? The reason it's asked is because here in the USA the 4th of July is synonymous with Independence Day. Of course other countries have a 4th of July - they just don't celebrate it like we do.

      We celebrate the 4th for it commemorates the formal adoption of the Declaration of Independence by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and the freedoms that came with it.
