Am instrument I once thought would be neat to learn how to play but never did is the guitar. I guess I did learn some base though. Anyways, in our living room we now have several guitars, mostly belonging to my oldest boy who has been learning to play and has a times accompanied singing in church and his sister on some specials.
Some of the things I like about guitars is they are portable - you can take them anywhere and as long as they are acoustical you need no electricity and they can be made to sound really nice - by someone who know what they are doing.
